(Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh, on the contrary, you are in the spirit, if only the Spirit of God dwells in you. Whoever does not have the spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is alive because of righteousness. If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you.)

A Warm Welcome to All -
You enter this Church, not as a stranger, but as a guest of God. As a baptized person, you enter it as a son or daughter of the Father united with our brother, Jesus Christ. As a nonbaptized person, come in as a wonderful creature of God. This House of God, therefore, is your family home. Come in with humility of mind; come in with joy of heart; and come with gratitude on your lips for God’s mercies. Come in and pause in prayerful silence, so that, in the midst of a busy and worrisome life, you may find peace and comfort.

RCIA - RITE Of CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS Is God calling you to become Catholic? It begins with an awareness...or stirring in one’s heart for something more. It could be a curiosity or a sense of long for fulfillment. Maybe it’s God calling you to explore the life of faith, love, and justice within the community of the Catholic Church. The RCIA process offers an opportunity for you to learn and ask questions about the Catholic faith. It is primarily for the un-baptized, but also includes a special tract for those baptized in another faith tradition. We also invite inquiring Catholics to also come and join us for refreshers on what they learned as children. We meet all year round. Please come and join us Tuesday evenings from 7:30PM to 9:30PM in the Parish Library. For more information on the process, please call Danny or Vicki Centurioni at 909-987-7971
RCIA - Teaching Moments: the word “Covenant”?
How does the Church define
A covenant is a solemn agreement between human beings or between God and a human being involving mutual commitments or guarantees. The Bible refers to God’s covenants with Noah, Abraham, and Moses as leader of the chosen people, Israel. In the Old Testament or Old Covenant, God revealed his law through Moses and prepared his people for salvation through the prophets. In the New Testament or New Covenant, Christ established a new and eternal covenant through his own sacrificial death and resurrection. of our Lord Jesus Christ. See The Catechism of the Catholic Church paThe Christian economy is the new and definitive Covenant which will never pass away, and no new public revelation is to be expected before the glorious manifestation ragraph # 56 thru # 66. These paragraphs will give you a through explanation “Covenants”.
The Sacrament of the Sick is a Sacrament offered by the Church for healing in sickness. This sickness may be physical, mental or emotional. Anyone of any age can receive the Sacrament as often as needed, but not usually not less than a 3 month period. Unfortunately, many still refer to this Sacrament as the “Last Rites” and often call the parish for a priest when an individual is critical and close to end of life. The Church has not used the term “Last Rites” since the Vatican II Council; asking the faithful to call for a priest when in the need of Healing. One of the realities of the Church today is a priest shortage. If a call is made to the Church for the Sacrament, when someone is close to the end of life, there might not be enough time for a priest to reach the person prior to them passing away, or a priest might not be available, at that important moment. Only a priest can offer the Sacrament of the Sick. A Deacon is not permitted to administer the rite of this Sacrament because it includes the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Church will do everything possible, in case of an emergency. However, it may be difficult if it is “last minute”. May this be a reminder to take advantage of the healing Sacraments of the Church ~ For Sacrament of the Sick … Please contact the Parish Office at 909-987-9312 During hours the office is closed, call 909-532-3312 for Emergencies
The Baptism Ministry Our parish community extends a warm and loving welcome to all who wish to prepare for the celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism. We are a welcoming community of believers eager to share our faith and embrace new people. As parents prepare for the Baptism of their children, our Baptism Ministry offers love and support throughout the entire process. The Sacrament of Baptism is offered in both English and Spanish. Please contact Tony Mandala for further information (909) 980-9423 x 231 or [email protected]

Children (ages 7-12) and Teens (ages 13-17) who are interested in joining the Catholic Church are invited to participate in the RCIA adapted for Children and Teens. The goal is to provide a means of conversion suited to the student’s age and understanding, and to prepare them for the reception of the Sacraments of Christian Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation). Parents and sponsors share a loving journey with the student’s by attending sessions with them and assisting them as they learn about Jesus and the Church, and ensuring that they experience a Catholic environment in the home. To participate more fully in this journey, we encouraged you to attend scheduled retreats, weekly Mass, special celebrations, and the Easter Liturgy. Our sessions begin in September and end in June.
Sessions held every Wed.5:30-7pm. – (JPII, 2nd Fl)

Pentecost Sunday Seventh Week in Ordinary Time St. John I St. Bernardine of Siena St. Christopher Magallanes and Companions; Blessed Virgin Mary; Armed Forces Day
LECTIO - EUCHARIST Jesus said “This is my Body” and “This is my Blood.” Some say they’re merely symbols of remembrance. Others say they’re really the Body and Blood of Christ, but can’t explain how that’s possible. The Eucharist is the center-point of the Mass – but why? The answers are here. Renowned teacher Dr. Brant Pitre guides us through Scripture, history, and Church teaching to illuminate the wonder and miracle of the Eucharist. With deep insight, Dr. Pitre gives a fresh perspective for understanding the mystery that is the Eucharist. The episodes were filmed at the studios of the Augustine Institute in Denver, Colorado. Materials fee per participant/couple sharing is $25, which includes a thorough study guide. For questions, contact Jenny Campbell at 909-987-9312. The same session is offered at 2 different times each Wednesday: Wednesday mornings 9:00 – 10:30 AM (upstairs JPII) Wednesday evenings 7:00 – 8:30 PM (upstairs JPII) May 18: Miracles of Jesus: Water, Wine, Loaves, and Fishes May 25: Bread of Life Discourse: John 6 and the Real Presence June 01: The Last Supper and the Cross: The New Passover of Christ June 08: The Mass: Emmaus and the Mystery of the Eucharist June 15: Revelation: Heavenly Worship and the End of Time

The practice of a jubilee year has ancient roots in the Jewish tradition and evidence for it can be found in the Old Testament (for example, see Leviticus 25). The jubilee year was called every fifty years and was a time for forgiveness. It stood as a reminder of God's providence and mercy. The dedication of a year for this emphasis provided the community with a time to come back into right relationship with one another and with God. As the practice of the jubilee year was adopted into the Catholic Church, these themes of mercy, forgiveness, and solidarity continued.
Will be presenting “A Night of Music in Celebration of God’s Infinite Mercy”
